Professor Strahilevitz's research focuses on consumer behavior. Her recent projects have investigated how consumers choose between different investment options, how they choose between various charitable giving options and how they choose between different brand options. She also studies how men and women differ both in terms of how much attention they pay to word-of-mouth and in terms of the conditions in which they are likely to spread word-of-mouth. Her research has been quoted by the Boston Globe, the Chicago Tribune, Ms. Magazine and the San Francisco Chronicle. She has also appeared on several national television business news programs on stations such as CNBC and PBS. In terms of academic publications, her research has appeared in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Business Research, Marketing Letters and the Journal of Nonprofit & Public Sector Marketing. She is currently working on invited revisions for Management Science and the Journal of Consumer Research.
